Overnight stay in Phuentsholing
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan located at an altitude of 7655 feet above sea level through lush forests and mountain roads.
Cloudy weather with mist & fog makes the journey even more beautiful, on the way you may take a short break for tea/coffee or Suja (Bhutanese tea) with noodles.
Tashichho Dzong
Located on the northern edge of Thimphu along the banks of the Wang Chhu River, this impressive fortress-monastery serves as an important administrative and religious centre of Bhutan. Originally constructed in 1216, it has long been associated with the country’s governance and spiritual leadership. Today, it houses key government offices and the central monastic body, making it one of the most significant landmarks in Bhutan.
Centenary Farmers Market (Explore on your own)
A lively marketplace where local farmers from Thimphu Valley and nearby regions gather to sell fresh, organic produce. Clock Tower Square (Evening Leisure Walk | Explore on your own)

National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Closed on Sundays & Government Holidays)
This institute preserves and promotes Bhutan’s thirteen traditional arts and crafts. Visitors can observe students practicing skills such as painting, wood carving, and sculpture—an excellent place to understand Bhutan’s artistic heritage.
Simtokha Dzong
One of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan, built in 1629 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. This historic dzong holds great cultural and religious significance and now serves as a centre for Buddhist studies.

After breakfast check out from Punakha and drive to Paro via Dochula Pass.

Take a scenic drive to Haa Valley via Chele La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan.
Visit Remote Himalayan landscapes, Traditional Bhutanese villages & Less crowded and highly photogenic locations mostly all white with snow during winters and lush green during summer and monsoon, although during monsoon not recommended to visit these areas.
Return to Paro.

Perched dramatically on a cliff at an altitude of approximately 3,180 meters, this sacred monastery is Bhutan’s most famous landmark. According to local belief, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave, making it one of the most spiritually significant sites in the Himalayas.
The hike to Tiger’s Nest offers breath taking views of the Paro Valley, winding forest trails, and fluttering prayer flags that enhance the overall experience. The journey is as memorable as the destination itself.
